Book Review : Nowhere to Turn

When you start a book, and your heart is racing and you are only on page 3 – you know you picked a good one!

I have read many books by Lynette Eason, and I have always enjoyed them.

Nowhere to Turn, is my favorite though, because by page three I had to stop and read the back to make sure everything was going to be okay.  I really did not remember the plot and I needed to know where the story was going.  I cannot promise that it will all be okay, you have to read it to find out, but the story will grab you and not let go until the end.

If you want a slow, sweet book to snuggle up with in bed, as you wind down from a long day, SKIP THIS ONE.  Okay, not really – don’t skip it, but read it during the day, or when your husband is home!  I spend two long nights, staying up far too late as I read this book.

I love Lynette Eason because her books are suspenseful, but there is always a romantic plot line that subtly runs throughout the story.  Her characters are as real as they come and they are ones you can conned with immediately.

In Nowhere to Turn, the main character is Dani (Danielle) who lived with an abusive husband (Kurt) for twelve years before things change.  The fear she and her son, Simon, feel and live with is enough to make you check the doors and windows, because with Kurt you did not know what he was going to do next.  Simon is deaf due to his father’s abuse.  The story moves incredibly fast, and the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat as you wonder who are the bad guys and who can Dani trust!

This book is the second in the Hidden Identity Series by Lynette, but you do not need to have read it to follow any of the story.

I guarantee if you enjoy a book that will grab you and keep you guessing, you will love this story!!  The content is clean and safe for even my 13 year old to read.  That is just another reason I enjoy reading anything by Ms. Eason!!

NOTE : I received a copy of Nowhere to Turn, in exchange for an honest review by Baker Publishing Group.
