I am so excited to share a sweet story I recently had the joy of reading!
Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe is a novel by Max Lucado with Candace Lee and Eric Newman. I love to read books by Max Lucado, but most are non-fiction. When I saw this book pop up on my radar and that it was a fiction novel I jumped at the chance to read it!
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of a woman, Chelsea Chambers, who goes back to her hometown to run the coffee house her grandmother and mother once ran. Her journey back home comes after her marriage falls apart, and she brings her children home with her. As she sets up shop, she quickly realizes the complexity of her task and is forced to rely on the help of many others. My favorite helper in the story is Manny, her out of the box assistant. I will not spoil any of the story but it was a sweet story of learning to trust others, and to stand on your own.
There are many spiritual topics covered from angels, God speaking through the internet. I really enjoyed the characters and how they loved each other. This was a quick read, and one that I will be sharing with my boys as well. It will make you stop and think for a bit about
NOTE : I received Miracle at Higher Grounds Cafe in exchange for an honest review.
