I enjoyed reading books that add to my historical knowledge of a subject, and this book did just that! It was very clear that Sonya Contreras has committed tremendous time and energy into the research for her latest book Until My Name is Known. She starts with Moses meeting God at the burning bush and finished when the Israelites cross the Jordan River. The details that Sonya shares with the readers clearly take us deeper into this story which really brings it to life.
Reading through the story of Moses always reminds us of who God is and was and always will be. I found this telling solid and highly accurate. If you enjoy fiction based on history you will enjoy Sonya’s book as well. Reading through the thoughts of Pharaoh and the people all around him and Moses gives great insight into what they might have been thinking, as real people.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to her next book, I Have Called you by Name, book #2 in this series.
