Book Review : Cold Case Christianity

Author and Cold-Case Detective J. Warner Wallace and his wife have written a book targeted at children ages 8-12.  Cold Case Christianity is a book that the Wallace’s use to teach the reader to be a critical thinking, to dig into the evidence, and how to test and rely on witnesses.

While the author is taking the reader through the process of investigating a cold case, he applies each of his lessons to the Gospel as well as a modern day mystery.

This is a great book for the thinker in your family, it is a great way to harness that energy of the one always asking questions.  While some people can take the truth of Christ and now question its authenticity, others need to verify what the Bible tells us and read it and examine it on their own.

Cold Case Christianity is a great book for younger kids, it will teach them how to read the Bible and really study what it is saying.  It will teach the reader how to listen to the eye witness accounts in the gospels as well as notice details in the text that many of us overlook.

I had my 12 year old read this book, and he really enjoyed it.  It would be a great book to read out loud to kids as well, so that you can talk about the subjects in more detail, together.

I love that more authors are seeing the need to offer books like this to our children, just because they are young does not mean they will not understand or want to understand these subjects.

NOTE: I received a copy of Cold Case Christianity at no cost.
